Yes, another oh-too-good-to be-true-healthier-than-the-usual recipe. Organic ingredients will bring out the flavors of this unique brownie. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dry Ingredients 1/3 cup cake flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon 2 tbsp chopped walnuts Wet Ingredients 1/4 cup apple sauce 1 tsp canola oil 3/4 cup sucanat (cane sugar) 1 pkg light, firm tofu 1 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup cocoa Place waxed paper on bottom of 8"x8" greased cake pan. In one bowl mix dry ingredients and in another all the wet ingredients (use a larger sized bowl for the wet ingredients). Then add dry ingredients all at once to the wet bowl and blend until moist. Scrape ingredients to the prepared pan and sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 25 minutes or until brownies pull away from sides. If you can resist, cool for 15 minutes before turning out. |
